Team Tech is a national collegiate design competition hosted by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). During the school year, each team works with a company to design, develop, and test a real world solution to a prompted problem. The teams present their finalized projects at the SWE National Conference and are judged on the effectiveness of their interdisciplinary work, communication, and teamwork. This competition allows students from all engineering majors and class levels to work as a team and apply their academic knowledge to a project from industry.
During the 2016-2017 school year, we collaborate with E-LOGS Technology in our very first Team Tech competition. We developed an electronic logging device hardware, which will allow commercial truck drivers to easily create and view their driving history.
For this 2017-2018 school year, we are collaborating with Mazzetti+GBA to develop a hot water flow meter device that will be implemented throughout hospital buildings in the USA and India.
